6th – Fashion & Networking at a little square. We are hosting a special event for the Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) of Fairfield on May 6th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at 1981 Post Road, Fairfield CT. Come shop, sip, network. Wine and food provided, there is a raffle prize to be won too worth $500!

2011-2012:

In order to do our part and raise awareness about Breast Cancer, the PPPP has planned several new and exciting events for the month of October.

Denise Manning PPPP Cuff: All Month. London based luxury jewelry designer Denise Manning, has designed two limited edition shagreen and diamante cuff’s, (one pink, one black) to celebrate the PPPP. Order details shall be following soon. So keep checking this space!

Buttercup Cakeshop vouchers: October 1st, Buttercup Bakery To kick off the month with a sweet start, the PPPP is encouraging YOU to go get some scrumptious cupcakes from one of our favorite London based bakeries. Prancing Pooch Parade: October 2nd The Dogs of London are taking to the park to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness. Come join your pets in a stroll around the park with other pet owners and their families. Meet at 11 at Kensington Place Gate (off Kensington Road) Special treats for the dogs, and for their families.

Knitting Circle on the Circle line: October 5th, 11-1pm: Come join us for a craft filled ride deep under London. We shall be departing from Le Pain Quotidien, the one near Notting Hill Station, W11 3JS at 12, (there from 11) so come meet us before hand for a coffee and a danish. (we shall probably be in the back knitting and eating away, so look around for us) In case you don’t know, a Knitting Circle line ride, is where we ride on the underground crafting, and spread the PPPP message to people commuting to work. We shall bring some t-shirts for crafters to wear and keep, as well as flyers and pom-pom makers to hand out, but the important thing is to bring your crafting and continue making something wonderful. Renegade Craft Fair: October 8-9th, 11-6pm, Old Truman Brewery, E1 6QL The PPPP shall be taking to the streets of London with our first ever Market stall at the Renegade craft fair on october 8th and 9th. We will be selling beginners crafting kits, dream bag supplies, pillows, pin cushions and more! Or just come down and join us for complimentary knitting lessons and good chats!

Stitch and Bitch: WHOLEFOODS style. October 12, 2011 9:30-1 pm, WHOLEFOODS, High Street Kensington, W8 5SE. After the wonderful success of our first stitch and bitch party earlier this month we have decided to host another one come October, we will be back at it, with knittings stations, lovely cupcakes, and good old fashion chatting and nattering.

Other Breast Cancer Events In October: We’re not the only one going pink for Breast Cancer during the month of October. Check out these wonderful events happening in and around London all through the month. For this in the states check out this wonderful website for all you American Breast Cancer awareness month events

SHINE: October 1st: (multiple times and start locations) Join hundreds of people who are embarking on a marathon or a half marathon march for awareness in the streets of London. Kick of Breast cancer awareness month with a great big gesture and join these noble men and woman as they walk for a cure.

Big Fun Run: October 2nd, Victoria park: If you feel like getting a bit more of a work out then walking dogs with us, check out the Big Fun Run, and go support people who are running a 5k for awareness.

The Show London: 5th October: 1pm and 6:30pm at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane Join 24 models who take to the run way for the first time since being diagnosed with breast cancer. Join them for a day of high fashion and fundraising.

Secondary Breast Cancer Awareness Day: Oct 1oth at the 5th View cafe, Waterstones, Piccadilly, 11-1pm Bring your friends and family to the launch of Little things that make a big difference, a booklet dedicated to practical tips about fighting Breast cancer.

Spotlight Campaign Event: Oct 13th, Jubilee Room in the House of Commons 3-5 pm Join Annette Brook MP in the house of commons to have your voice heard in a discussion about secondary Breast Cancer in the UK.

Where it Pink Day: Oct 28th Get dressed up in pink then go online and donate two pounds to the men and women at the Breast Cancer Campaign, who work constantly to help find a cure.

Stitch and Bitch – London

The first full formed Stitch and Bitch party went live this July with a FANTASTIC, first turn out. Thank you to all the men and women who came and to Jane from Tea and Crafting who was here, teaching us all about the wonders of cable knitting. Expect more Stitch and Bitch parties to come soon!

16th March – LONDON – The Knitting Circle on The Circle Line: Join us while we gather the troops to gain awareness and support for The Haven, a Breast Cancer Support Center in London, while knitting on the tube! We will be riding for one full loop of London’s famous Circle Line, starting and finishing to be announced shortly. We require all PPPP riders to bring a needlework activity for the journey. We will be providing T-Shirts and pom pom magic makers for those who are ‘needle challenged’. It’ll be a trip to remember!

10:00 am meet time inside Le Pain Quotidien on Notting Hill Gate /11:00 am departure on The Circle Line Train. Estimated journey time is approximately 47 minutes to an hour, but make plans for slight delays.

4th May - LONDON – 8th Annual KCWC Charity Fashion Fayre12:00pm to 5pm at the Chelsea Old Town Hall on King’s Road, London.
